Nearly 100 State Emergency Service officers from the Cherkasy region have completed first aid training

Large-scale training sessions were conducted across four districts of the Cherkasy region, led by seven instructors from the Cherkasy regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross. The training aimed to strengthen the capacity and readiness of emergency response officers to act effectively in crisis situations.

During the sessions, participants practised key lifesaving skills, including assessing scene safety, evaluating casualties, responding to medical emergencies, performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), controlling severe bleeding through the application of dressings and tourniquets, and providing trauma care.

In total, 97 officers from across the Cherkasy region successfully completed the training and received internationally recognised certificates, valid in 191 countries. More importantly, they gained critical knowledge and confidence to act decisively in the most challenging circumstances.

The Ukrainian Red Cross continues its mission to equip people with lifesaving first aid skills — to help others and themselves. Because where there is knowledge and confidence, there is always a chance to save a life.
