Ukrainian Red Cross Team Takes Part in Blood Donation Campaign
For the third time this year, the Ukrainian Red Cross has joined a vital life-saving initiative — blood donation.
Today, Ukrainian Red Cross staff and volunteers donated blood to support those who need it most — the wounded and seriously ill. The donation drive was organised by Emergency Response specialists and the Health Promotion and Disease Prevention team, in partnership with the Blood Centre of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
We are committed to supporting the development of the donor movement at both national and local levels. We partner with blood centres, assist with the delivery of blood to medical facilities, and promote blood donation as one of the most effective ways to save lives.
Across Ukraine, our colleagues are becoming blood donors to show solidarity, compassion, and care for others. For them, it’s more than an act of charity. Just 30 minutes and a single donation can give three people a chance to live.
