Registration Now Open for the 2025 National Competition on International Humanitarian Law!
The Ukrainian Red Cross, in partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the 2025 National Competition on International Humanitarian Law, which will take place in Kyiv from 28 to 30 November 2025. This three-day event will feature simulated practical scenarios involving students and experts in international humanitarian law (IHL).
Teams must consist of three law students enrolled at bachelor’s or master’s level. Please note that coaches cannot be members of the team. Interested teams should complete the application form, providing team registration details, a motivation statement, and answers to the selection questions.

The application deadline is 20 October 2025, 23:59 (Kyiv time). Following the selection process, eight teams will be invited to participate in the oral rounds.
This competition offers participants the chance to step into the shoes of legal practitioners by resolving simulated armed conflict scenarios. The aim is to test knowledge of international humanitarian law and assess the ability to argue and present legal positions on behalf of various stakeholders.
