Training in Psychological First Aid Held in Vinnytsia for Ministry of Culture and Information Policy Staff
Staff from the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine completed a training course in Psychological First Aid (PFA). Over the course of 6.5 hours, participants learned to recognise people’s reactions to crisis situations, apply the three key action principles — “Look, Listen, Link” — as well as care for their own wellbeing and use self-help techniques.
The training was delivered by trainers from the Ukrainian Red Cross’s Mental Health and Psychosocial Support team. Practical exercises, role-plays, and discussions helped participants consolidate their knowledge and develop skills to provide support in challenging situations. Upon completion, 21 staff members were awarded certificates.
Collaboration with the Ministry of Culture enables the wider dissemination of Psychological First Aid knowledge among public sector employees who work daily with people and can provide crucial support to those in crisis.
