Applications Now Open for the Micro-Enterprise Support Programme

For the second consecutive year, the Ukrainian Red Cross, under the programme “Reboot: Expanding Employment Opportunities”, is supporting vulnerable groups to start or rebuild their own businesses. This initiative is implemented with the support of the Spanish Red Cross. Since the start of this year, participants in certain regions lacking physical offices have also been able to join the programme through an online service.

Applications are open for individuals aged 18 to 65 who meet one of the following criteria:

  • Internally displaced persons (since 24 February 2022) able to conduct business activities in the region where they are registered and currently reside;
  • Demobilised military personnel;
  • Local residents belonging to vulnerable groups.

Online microgrant support is available to residents of the following regions:

  • Kyiv
  • Zakarpattia
  • Volyn
  • Rivne
  • Zhytomyr
  • Chernihiv
  • Chernivtsi
  • Sumy
  • Kharkiv
  • Dnipro
  • Odesa
  • The programme is also open to residents of government-controlled areas in the Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Kherson regions.

A total of 120 applications will be accepted. Once this number is reached, the application form may be closed. The final deadline for registration and submission is 15 October 2025.

The best business ideas will receive funding of up to UAH 100,000, paid in two instalments:
stage 1 — 50% of the microgrant upon approval;
stage 2 — the remaining 50% upon successful fulfilment of the business plan conditions.

Participants will also have the opportunity to complete a course in the Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship.

Support is available for the following sectors: agriculture, manufacturing, services, retail, and wholesale trade.
