Zaporizhzhia: Supporting Emergency Services and Those Affected After Another Attack
Last night, Zaporizhzhia came under fire once again. The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Zaporizhzhia region, together with other city emergency services, responded to the aftermath of the attack. Volunteers supported the operations of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, provided psychological first aid to those affected, and remained on standby to administer first aid if needed.
The Zaporizhzhia regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross also provided humanitarian aid to those affected by the overnight attack. Volunteers distributed essential relief items, including daily food rations and hygiene kits.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, a 49-year-old man was killed in the Russian attack. First responders recovered his body from beneath the rubble of a destroyed residential building. The strike also destroyed a private home and damaged neighbouring houses.
