Large-Scale Training Exercises on Response to Shelling and Attacks Held in the Kyiv Region with Ukrainian Red Cross Participation
Recently, joint training exercises took place in the Vyshhorod district to practise responses to emergencies caused by shelling and attacks.
Volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team took part in the drills alongside representatives from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, a volunteer fire brigade from the Pirnove community, and animal rescue volunteers.
The main aim of the exercise was to coordinate the interaction between rescue services and volunteer teams, utilise specialised equipment for firefighting and rescue operations, and practise procedures for responding to repeated attacks on the rescue site.
A total of 45 participants took part, using seven units of rescue equipment, including a ground-based robotic firefighting system.
Such training exercises improve the collaboration and coordination of all involved services, enabling them to respond more swiftly and effectively in real-life emergencies.
