The Ukrainian Red Cross Responds to Night-Time Attack on Zaporizhzhia
The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in Zaporizhzhia, in coordination with other rescue services, provided assistance at the scene of the recent night-time attack. Volunteers administered first aid to nine people, while a further 20 received psychological first aid.
Six volunteer crews took part in the response effort. The Zaporizhzhia regional branch will also distribute humanitarian aid to those affected.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, one person was killed and 13 others, including two children, were injured in the Russian rocket strike. Large-scale fires broke out, engulfing residential buildings, a service station, and vehicles.
