The Ukrainian Red Cross Assists at the Site of the Strike in the Kyiv Region

The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response teams from the Kyiv region and the National Committee are working alongside first responders from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine at the scene of a fire in the Fastiv district. Volunteers have set up a Ukrainian Red Cross aid station, where comprehensive support is being provided to emergency workers. In particular, volunteers are offering firefighters involved in the response meals, drinking water, tea, and coffee. Psychological support and psychological first aid are also available on-site.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the fire in a warehouse in the Fastiv district, caused by a Russian UAV strike, is currently being extinguished. Significant personnel and equipment from the State Emergency Service, including aviation units and specialised robotics, are involved in the operation. Information regarding the extent of damage and possible casualties is still being confirmed.
