In Khmelnytskyi, the Ukrainian Red Cross Mobile Health Unit Joins “A Family for Every Child” Event

The event aimed to promote adoption and foster care for children without parental care. Specialists from the Ukrainian Red Cross provided primary medical services, including health checks, blood pressure monitoring, and blood sugar testing. A psychologist was also available to offer support.

Among the nearly 200 attendees were 110 families who have already welcomed children into their homes or are considering adoption or other forms of family-based care. The event is part of a series of mini-festivals taking place across Ukraine, organised with the support of partners including UNICEF, the EU, and the German government.

There are currently nearly 1,700 orphans and children deprived of parental care living in the Khmelnytskyi region. The Ukrainian Red Cross continues to support initiatives aimed at assisting this vulnerable group.
