Ukrainian Red Cross volunteers met the evacuation train in Zakarpattia
Yesterday, another evacuation train arrived in Mukachevo, carrying 20 residents from the Donetsk and Dnipro regions, including 12 children — the youngest just two years old.
Volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Zakarpattia region were there to receive the evacuees. They provided first aid and psychological first aid to those who had found the journey particularly challenging. Emergency workers, psychologists and social workers were also present on the platform, providing support to the evacuees.
Everyone received help with their luggage, was offered snacks and water, and had the opportunity to rest in a designated area at the railway station before being accommodated in the Zakarpattia region.
