Follow-up visits to recipients of the Reboot microgrant support programme are underway in the Mykolaiv region
Last year, the Ukrainian Red Cross, with support from the Spanish Red Cross and Danish Red Cross, provided initial assistance to individual micro-enterprise initiatives in the Mykolaiv region, helping vulnerable groups within the community. People who had been displaced, lost their jobs, or whose businesses had been destroyed were given the opportunity to submit a business plan and receive a microgrant of up to 100,000 UAH to develop or restore their own businesses.
To assess the impact of these businesses, the Reboot programme team is currently visiting the winners of the first round.
During these visits, the team:
- engages with entrepreneurs;
- reviews the progress of their initiatives;
- provides information support;
- gathers feedback;
- offers recommendations to improve outcomes.
Participants share their achievements and experiences, highlighting the positive changes made possible through the microgrants. Their stories inspire others, showing that even small ideas can become reality — improving lives and strengthening entire communities.
It is worth noting that the Ukrainian Red Cross’s “Reboot: Expanding Employment Opportunities” programme began last year in five regions. It now covers nearly the whole of Ukraine, with offices in nine regions plus Kyiv, and offers an online service available to other Ukrainian residents across the country.
