The Ukrainian Red Cross has launched a new mobile rehabilitation unit in Kremenchuk
In July, a new mobile rehabilitation unit of the Ukrainian Red Cross began operating in the Kremenchuk community. This marks another important step towards expanding access to rehabilitation services for people who need support but are unable to reach specialised facilities on their own.
The team consists of a physical therapist, a physical therapy assistant, and a driver. They visit people in need of support and deliver rehabilitation services directly to their homes. The unit works with those recovering from injuries, illness, trauma, or the effects of war.
Where necessary, beneficiaries are provided with free rehabilitation aids such as crutches, walking sticks, walking frames, or wheelchairs. A key aspect of the unit’s work is offering emotional support, encouragement, and a personalised approach — all of which contribute to a successful recovery.
This initiative was made possible with the support of the British Red Cross. Our ongoing partnership enables us to expand the reach of our services and bring help closer to those who need it most.
