Over 450 officers of the National Police of Ukraine are now equipped with life-saving skills

Today, more than 450 police officers from the Zhytomyr region took part in first aid training delivered by the Ukrainian Red Cross. One of the days of the Summer First Aid School was dedicated to practical action in local communities.

Instructors from the Ukrainian Red Cross travelled from various parts of Ukraine to conduct six-hour training sessions for police officers across 16 locations simultaneously.

It’s not just about knowledge — it’s about having the confidence to act when every second counts.

Police officers are often the first responders at the scene of accidents, explosions, injuries, fires, and natural disasters. Their first aid skills can save lives before medical teams arrive.

For the Ukrainian Red Cross, this is part of a wider mission: to equip those on the front lines of public safety with vital skills.

Because anyone can save a life if they know how.
