The Ukrainian Red Cross Signs Memorandum of Cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine

The Director General of the Ukrainian Red Cross, Maksym Dotsenko, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andrii Sybiha, have recently signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. The agreement establishes coordination of efforts at both national and international levels in the following areas:

  • implementation of humanitarian campaigns
  • international promotion of Ukraine’s humanitarian initiatives
  • sharing Ukrainian experience and expertise in responding to large-scale emergencies

“This is a significant event for the Ukrainian Red Cross and the entire Red Cross Movement. We recognise how vital Ukraine’s image is on the international stage today — and it is you who are shaping it. As part of the International Movement, represented in 191 countries, we play not only a humanitarian but also a diplomatic role globally. It is this combination of humanitarian action and diplomacy that enables us to strengthen Ukraine’s standing in the world,” said Maksym Dotsenko.

The meeting was also attended by Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary from African countries, opening up further opportunities for humanitarian and diplomatic dialogue in the region.

This partnership will serve as an important tool in supporting Ukrainians around the world and promoting humanitarian values.
