The Ukrainian Red Cross continues to support the evacuation of residents from frontline areas of the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions

Evacuations are ongoing, and Ukrainian Red Cross volunteers are working daily to help people leave dangerous areas and reach safer locations.

Recently, the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Donetsk region evacuated three people from the town of Lyman to the railway station in Kramatorsk, where they boarded a train to continue their journey to safety.

In cooperation with the Bilyi Yanhol (White Angel) unit of the National Police of Ukraine, our volunteers also carried out an emergency evacuation of two residents from Yampil. One of the evacuees had limited mobility, so the transport required extra care and attention.

Evacuation efforts are also ongoing in Stepnohirsk, Zaporizhzhia region. Each journey is becoming increasingly dangerous — roads are damaged, fires are frequent, and the air is thick with smoke and the smell of burning. Yet even under these conditions, the emergency response team continues to help local residents reach safer places.

We remain committed to supporting those in need.
