Chernivtsi, Lviv, Lutsk: The Ukrainian Red Cross responds to the 12 July attacks on Ukraine
- Chernivtsi — The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team, in coordination with other emergency services, responded at the scene of the attack.
Volunteers on the ground provided essential assistance to those affected. In particular, 20 people received psychological first aid. Two people with limited mobility were evacuated from a damaged building to other locations within the region. A Ukrainian Red Cross aid station was established at the site, offering first aid, psychological support, and refreshments such as tea and water to both victims and emergency personnel.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the Russian UAV attack on the city damaged administrative and residential buildings, as well as vehicles. Two people were killed, and 14 others sustained injuries of varying severity.
- Lviv — Ukrainian Red Cross volunteers have set up an aid station at one of the affected sites. They are providing first aid and psychological support, and distributing humanitarian aid.
According to the Lviv City Council, two industrial facilities and several residential buildings were damaged, with over 500 windows shattered. Three buildings belonging to Lviv Polytechnic, city courts, and more than 20 small and medium-sized businesses were also affected, along with over 20 vehicles. Six people were injured, including an 11-year-old child.
- Lutsk — The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Volyn region responded to the scene of the attack. Volunteers conducted door-to-door visits in the affected buildings and surrounding area, offering support to residents and standing by to provide first aid. The Volyn regional branch is currently distributing plastic sheeting to temporarily cover broken windows.
According to the Volyn Regional Military Administration, a private house was destroyed by falling UAV debris, while windows in nearby homes were shattered and several cars were damaged. The fire has since been extinguished. No casualties were reported.
