Addressing the Impact of Severe Weather in the Rivne Region
For three days, volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Rivne region helped mitigate the effects of severe weather in the Dubno and Rivne districts.
Over 150 trees fell across villages, roads, and near homes, causing damage to more than 100 residential buildings.
Our volunteers provided tarpaulins to the affected residents and actively contributed to relief efforts. Specifically, they cleared roads of fallen trees and assisted local people in covering damaged houses with slate and outbuildings with tarpaulin.
All work was carried out in close cooperation with first responders from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, community representatives and local authorities.
