In the Vinnytsia region, Ukrainian Red Cross health consultants held events at a rehabilitation centre for children and people with disabilities

Beneficiaries of the Tulchyn Centre for Comprehensive Rehabilitation for Children and People with Disabilities “Ray of Hope,” took part in a health promotion event aimed at encouraging a healthy lifestyle. Individuals who are particularly vulnerable during air raids and shelling often require additional care and support.

As part of the Stay Healthy Ukraine project, an information session titled “Immunisation: Strengthening Immunity” was held, during which participants learned about:

  • the importance of vaccinations
  • healthy eating
  • physical activity
  • everyday ways to support the immune system

A practical session called “Examples of Easy Warm-Up Exercises” gave participants the opportunity to be active in a simple and enjoyable way. Some even remembered the exercises to continue practising them in the future.

Such events help people to look after their well-being, even in difficult circumstances, and to find a safe and supportive environment. After all, good health begins with small, everyday steps.

Activities under the Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Programme in the Vinnytsia region are carried out with the support of the Danish Red Cross.
