An information session for veterans and their families was held in the Lviv region as part of the Ukrainian Red Cross’s Reboot programme

Veterans and their families participated in an information session on “What’s Next? Put Your Experience into Action!” and a discussion about opportunities after service, led by a career counsellor and a psychologist from the Reboot programme.

The session introduced participants to the work of the Ukrainian Red Cross, employment prospects, and opportunities for professional development. Participants also had the chance to connect with like-minded individuals and share their personal experiences of transitioning to civilian life. Family members of veterans received guidance on how best to support their loved ones on this new path. The event was organised in partnership with the Lviv Centre for Services to Combatants.

The Ukrainian Red Cross’s “Reboot: Expanding Employment Opportunities” programme, implemented with the support of the Spanish Red Cross, aims to help vulnerable individuals retrain, gain new qualifications, or receive microgrants to start their own businesses. Recognising the unique challenges many veterans face in reintegrating into civilian and professional life, the programme offers support to help address these needs.
