Residents of the Ternopil region are informed about the importance of preventing cardiovascular diseases
As part of the Ukrainian Red Cross Health Promotion and Disease Prevention programme, residents of the Lanivtsi district received information about arterial hypertension.
Participants learned what high blood pressure is, its causes, and how it affects the body. Consultants discussed risk factors and emphasised the importance of a healthy lifestyle, a balanced diet, and regular physical activity.
During the practical session, participants were taught how to measure blood pressure correctly, including how to prepare, the best body position to adopt, and how often measurements should be taken.
In times of stress, it is especially important to look after your health. Raising awareness helps to prevent the development of serious illnesses.
This activity is supported by the Norwegian Red Cross.
