Within a month, a new team of instructors completed their training as part of the Ukrainian Red Cross Home-Based Care Programme

The training was attended by 11 participants from the Kherson, Kharkiv, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Sumy, Chernivtsi, and Vinnytsia regions. It comprised 15 sessions: five conducted online, nine held in person in Chernivtsi, and additional self-study components.

The sessions included both theoretical and practical elements, during which the future instructors gained comprehensive knowledge and skills in delivering social home-based care services to older people in need of assistance.

Participants also practised a range of interactive training methods and developed their facilitation skills, which will support the ongoing professional development of Ukrainian Red Cross social helpers. The training was delivered by Leonora Kadom, Nina Shybaieva, and Tetiana Stasenko — experienced trainers with the Ukrainian Red Cross Home-Based Care Programme.

Armed with their newly acquired knowledge, the instructors are now equipped to conduct training sessions for social helpers across Ukraine, thereby enhancing the overall quality of care services.
