In Mykolaiv, Life Skills training was held for local residents at the Ukrainian Red Cross youth space

Life Skills is more than just training; it aims to develop competent, responsible young people who can make a meaningful contribution to society and are motivated to develop professionally.

The training included a Reboot session, supported by the Spanish Red Cross and the Danish Red Cross, in collaboration with the Ukrainian Red Cross Youth Development Programme. Within a safe environment, participants openly discussed their thoughts and shared their experiences. It was also an opportunity to recognise their own strengths, step outside their comfort zones, and believe in their abilities. The session helped prepare young people for active engagement in public life, develop professional and communication skills, better adapt to today’s living conditions, and build resilience to stress.

Participants noted that the knowledge gained would help them better understand themselves and others, as well as make informed decisions about their career paths. They particularly valued the group work, the safe atmosphere, and the opportunity to interact.
