In Kharkiv, the Ukrainian Red Cross provides assistance following the large-scale attack

The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Kharkiv region, working alongside other city emergency services, provided vital assistance following the recent large-scale attack on Kharkiv.

Volunteers conducted door-to-door visits in damaged buildings and surrounding areas to identify those affected. They also provided first aid and psychological first aid to victims, including care for pets.

Ukrainian Red Cross aid stations have been set up at the impact sites to offer psychological support to those affected. Where needed, volunteers administer first aid to the injured. Residents of damaged buildings and emergency workers can also access hot drinks and charging facilities for their devices at these aid points.

Humanitarian aid is currently being distributed based on assessed needs. This includes emergency response kits, plastic sheeting for broken windows, tarpaulins, hygiene kits, and more.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, two people were killed in the massive Russian drone strike on Kharkiv. Another 37 people were injured, including five children. Multi-storey residential buildings, private homes, a civilian enterprise and other infrastructure facilities were damaged.
