The Ukrainian Red Cross responds to the overnight UAV attack on Kharkiv
Last night, Kharkiv was struck once more. Volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Kharkiv region responded at the scene alongside other city rescue services. The team inspected damaged buildings and the surrounding areas, conducted door-to-door visits to identify those in need, and provided both first aid and psychological first aid to those affected. A Ukrainian Red Cross aid station was set up on site, where volunteers offered hot drinks, water, and psychological support.
Humanitarian aid is currently being distributed, including plastic sheeting for windows, tarpaulins, hygiene kits, water, and other essential items.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, 17 people — including 4 children — were injured in the Russian UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) attack on Kharkiv. The strike caused damage to multi-storey residential buildings and vehicles.
