The Ukrainian Red Cross participated in the final EU4Health project event

Last week, the final internal event of the EU4Health project was held in Budapest under the motto “Celebrating Achievements, Building the Future.” The forum brought together partners from National Red Cross Societies, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement MHPSS Hub, the Red Cross EU Office, The Geneva Learning Foundation (TGLF), and Terre des hommes (the Swiss organisation for children’s rights) to review their joint work and shape a vision for the future.

Over the course of two days, participants from various countries discussed promising practices, shared experiences in humanitarian diplomacy, explored approaches to institutionalising MHPSS, and examined examples of sustainable solutions with potential for scaling up.

Thus, the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support team of the Ukrainian Red Cross presented the results of its work within the framework of EU4Health:

  • Local initiatives in providing psychological first aid
  • Approaches to supporting communities during times of war
  • Tools developed to strengthen emotional resilience and assist vulnerable groups

We shared not only our achievements but also the lessons learned, which help us adapt daily to the new reality. It was a space of lively dialogue, trust, and inspiration, where every experience offered insight for the future.

We thank all our partners for their meaningful cooperation, openness to exchange, and shared commitment to providing quality psychosocial support to all who need it.
