The Ukrainian Red Cross responds to the attack on Sumy
Volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Sumy region are working alongside rescue services to respond to the aftermath of shelling in Sumy. The volunteers have been providing first aid to victims and transporting them to medical facilities.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, there are currently three confirmed dead and sixteen injured as a result of Russian shelling. An apartment building, three private houses, a warehouse, a garage, several cars, and one of the hospital buildings were damaged in one of the city’s districts. The area is still being surveyed.
