In the Kirovohrad region, information sessions on healthy lifestyles were held for Ukrainian Red Cross Active Longevity Club members
As part of the Health Promotion and Disease Prevention programme, a session on arterial hypertension was conducted for residents of the Novomyrhorod community. During the session, participants were introduced to the key symptoms of arterial hypertension, informed about the risks associated with high blood pressure, and made aware of the importance of regular monitoring.
The practical component included training on accurate blood pressure measurement, maintaining a diary of readings, and engaging in physical activities such as warm-up exercises and Nordic walking.
In addition, volunteer consultants distributed informational materials on hypertension prevention and the importance of maintaining good health among the local population.
The initiative is supported by the Danish Red Cross and aims to raise public awareness of disease prevention while promoting an active and healthy lifestyle.
