Over 350 people have been trained in mental health and psychosocial support by the Ukrainian Red Cross in just two months!
As part of the #EU4Health project, implemented by the European Commission, the Ukrainian Red Cross is actively spreading knowledge about mental health and psychological first aid (PFA).
In just the past two months, our Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) trainers have delivered 14 in-person training sessions, reaching 361 participants:
- 40 Ukrainian Red Cross volunteers and staff
- 227 representatives of partner organisations
- 94 individuals trained in providing psychological first aid to children
Psychological first aid equips people with the skills to support others in crisis. The training covers how to respond to stress, practise active listening, apply calming techniques, show compassion, and use self-help strategies.
Together with our partners, we continue working towards a society where help is always within reach for those who need it most.
