The Ukrainian Red Cross Responds to the Aftermath of the Attack on Kyiv
Last night, the capital came under attack once again. Volunteers from the Emergency Response Team of the National Committee of the Ukrainian Red Cross provided assistance at three locations. In particular, in the Sviatoshynskyi district of Kyiv, volunteers administered first aid to two individuals, while five others received psychological first aid. Several residential buildings were damaged.
Volunteers continue to provide support in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv, where a Ukrainian Red Cross aid station has been set up. At the station, those affected can charge their mobile phones, have a cup of tea, and receive the support they need. So far, ten people have received psychological first aid.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the latest Russian attack resulted in two fatalities and six injuries, including four children. Residential buildings in the Sviatoshynskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Dniprovskyi districts of Kyiv were damaged.
Emergency rescue operations are currently ongoing in the Shevchenkivskyi district.
