Safety First: Ukrainian Red Cross experts are educating school students in the Lviv region about the dangers of explosive ordnance during Civil Defence Days

These crucial events teach students how to stay safe if they encounter explosive objects, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), or mines. The goal is to ensure they know what to do if they come across these hazards and how to act calmly and correctly.

During these sessions, children will learn:

• How to identify mines and other explosive devices
• Where these dangers might be found
• What places are at risk
• The emergency numbers to call if they find any explosives

If you spot a suspicious object:

• Stop
• Don’t touch it
• Call 101, 102, or 112 immediately!
