The Ukrainian Red Cross responded to the attack on Odesa, assisting victims on the ground

Volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Odesa region responded swiftly to last night’s attacks, working alongside first responders at six locations.

They provided psychological first aid to over 15 people and administered first aid to five others with physical injuries. Two seriously injured victims were handed over to paramedics. Volunteers evacuated an elderly woman from a damaged home and rescued a cat.

A Ukrainian Red Cross aid station has been established at the site, offering victims and emergency workers hot meals, tea, coffee, drinking water, charging points for devices, and other essential support.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, a Russian drone strike on the night of 1 May killed two people and injured 15 others.
