Kharkiv: The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Kharkiv region was operating at the site of a strike on a multi-storey residential building in one of the city’s districts

Together with other rescue services, the volunteers participated in search and rescue operations. They inspected damaged houses, apartments, and surrounding areas to identify those affected, provided first aid, and handed over the injured to ambulance crews. The volunteers also evacuated residents and offered psychological support to the victims and their families.
Currently, the team from the Kharkiv regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross is preparing to distribute humanitarian aid based on the needs that have been assessed.

On the evening of 3 April, Russian UAVs attacked one of the districts of Kharkiv. According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, as a result of the strikes on residential and administrative buildings, four fires broke out, covering an area of over 600 m². Reports indicate 35 injuries and 4 deaths.

Emergency rescue operations are ongoing.
