The Cash and Voucher Assistance Training for Practitioners was held in Kyiv to strengthen the Ukrainian Red Cross’s capacity to respond to emergencies through cash programmes
The goal of the training was to improve the skills of specialists from regional branches and the National Committee of the Ukrainian Red Cross involved in the implementation of cash programmes, to share experiences, and to explore different approaches to implementing these programmes.
The training was attended by specialists from the Donetsk, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kirovohrad, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy regional branches, the Kyiv city branch, and the National Committee of the Ukrainian Red Cross.
Eight certified trainers in cash and voucher assistance, who had previously completed the Training for CVA Trainers with support from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and the British Red Cross, facilitated the training.
The training programme included a practical scenario in which participants learned how to develop a design and implementation plan for a cash programme in an emergency situation.
This three-day intensive covered all stages of the programme cycle, from comprehensive assessment, analysis, and planning to implementation, distribution, and monitoring.
