The Swedish Red Cross delegation paid a working visit to the Odesa region

Maksym Dotsenko, Director General of the Ukrainian Red Cross, together with Ulrika Modéer, Secretary General of the Swedish Red Cross, visited the Odesa region to discuss the implementation of humanitarian projects in the region.

The main focus of the visit was on initiatives to improve access to non-potable water and measures to enhance resilience in the communities of the Odesa region. During their visit, the delegation familiarised themselves with the activities of the Odesa regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross, including a meeting with volunteers from the emergency response team and psychosocial support specialists who are the first to assist people affected by the war.

The delegation also visited beneficiaries of the Home-Based Care programme to observe how vulnerable individuals are supported and examined the consequences of Russian attacks in the region.
