Nearly 380 people in the Kharkiv region receive assistance from the social helpers of the Ukrainian Red Cross

Recently, the Home-Based Care programme team visited beneficiaries in Kharkiv and Izium to identify their needs and assess the quality of the services provided by the social helpers. The beneficiaries shared their stories and expressed heartfelt gratitude for the ongoing support. For many, the social helpers have become true friends. It is not just about receiving help; it is the care that gives them the strength to carry on with their lives.

Currently, 379 people across 20 towns and villages in the Kharkiv region receive daily social and hygiene services, and, most importantly, attention, understanding, and care. A total of 64 social helpers are dedicated to supporting them. The activities in the region are made possible with the support of the French Red Cross.
