In the Odesa region, Ukrainian Red Cross social helpers continue to support older adults
The Home-Based Care programme team recently visited beneficiaries in the village of Murovana, located in the Podilskyi district of the Odesa region. The purpose of the visit was to gather feedback, assess current needs, and improve the quality of services provided by the Ukrainian Red Cross social helpers. Murovana is a small village, and its residents are predominantly elderly individuals who struggle with daily tasks and require care. These visits are essential for offering comprehensive support to older adults and people with disabilities.
Halyna is one of the dedicated social helpers who cares for seven beneficiaries. She not only helps with household chores but also buys and delivers food, water, and medicine. In addition, Halyna provides emotional support and assists her beneficiaries with everyday and social issues.
The work of the Ukrainian Red Cross social helpers is vital in ensuring a dignified life for the elderly and people with disabilities. They help create more comfortable living conditions and provide a sense of support. Thanks to their efforts, those in need are not left to face their challenges alone; instead, they receive the necessary care and attention.
