Information Session on Hepatitis for Members of the Active Longevity Club in Haivoron, Kirovohrad Region

The Ukrainian Red Cross held an information session for members of the Active Longevity Club in Haivoron, Kirovohrad region. Volunteer consultants from the Ukrainian Red Cross Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Unit conducted the session, focusing on Hepatitis B, C, and D.

The following topics were discussed:

  • What is hepatitis and what are its main types?
  • Symptoms and modes of transmission.
  • Prevention, myths, and facts about hepatitis.

Viral hepatitis is an inflammatory liver disease caused by various types of viruses. It can lead to liver damage, functional disorders, and other serious complications. Therefore, it is crucial to recognise the symptoms early and seek help, as well as to understand the available preventive measures.

This activity is implemented with the support of the Danish Red Cross.
