In Shostka, the Ukrainian Red Cross Home-Based Care team visited 26 beneficiaries to gather feedback
The main purpose of these visits is to monitor the quality of social and sanitary services provided by the social helpers of the Ukrainian Red Cross to lonely older adults and people with disabilities. These visits are carried out regularly, with schedules and frequency optimised based on requests and medical indications. Assistance is also provided with rehabilitation and care equipment. Since the beginning of the year, all beneficiaries have received hygiene kits and bed linen sets.
In the Sumy region, as part of the Home-Based Care programme, 54 social helpers provide assistance to 306 people living in 38 villages and towns throughout the region. They help with household chores, maintaining personal hygiene, purchasing essential household items, cooking, and providing psychosocial support. The activities in the Sumy region are supported by the Swedish Red Cross.
