Over 21,600 food parcels were distributed by Ukrainian Red Cross volunteers in Kherson in February 2025
The humanitarian assistance is provided by the World Food Programme (WFP) and is aimed at supporting older adults aged 60 and over, as well as people with disabilities, who remain in the city despite the constant threats and ongoing hostilities.
The food parcels contain non-perishable items and help provide a significant portion of the monthly ration. However, for Kherson residents, each delivery is not only about food but also about a sense of care and hope for the future.
Volunteers receive, distribute, deliver, and hand out the parcels to older citizens every day, risking their own lives. Due to the constant shelling, their work is extremely dangerous, but they continue their mission to support the most vulnerable residents of Kherson.
Together, we are stronger!
