During the week, 730 residents of the Sumy region received assistance from the mobile health units of the Ukrainian Red Cross
The teams regularly visit 39 villages, most of which are located close to the contact line. Our specialists reach even the most remote villages to provide medical care and deliver medicines to those in need. Not every village has a suitable room to accommodate patients. In such cases, the mobile health unit is stationed in a local library, school, or village council, or an appointment is arranged in a specially equipped Ukrainian Red Cross vehicle. Visits are also made to patients with limited mobility, if necessary.
In total, six mobile health units operate in the Sumy region with the support of the Swedish Red Cross.
