Mobile health units of the Ukrainian Red Cross are operating in the most remote areas of the Poltava region, where access to medical care is limited

Thanks to the efforts of the Ukrainian Red Cross mobile health units in the Poltava region, more than 20,000 medical consultations have already been provided!

The mobile health units’ specialists conduct health check-ups, offer consultations, and perform common laboratory tests, such as blood glucose checks. They also perform ECGs when necessary and provide over-the-counter medicines for general health needs. This enables people in remote areas to receive timely assistance despite limited access to medical facilities.

The activities of the mobile health units in the region are supported by the Canadian Red Cross. Recently, Canadian partners visited one of the outpatient clinics in the Poltava region, where they had the opportunity to observe the work of a mobile health unit. This visit allowed them to see firsthand how the team operates, as well as interact with both the people receiving care and the specialists who provide essential help every day.

We stand by those in need!
