Current Challenges and Prospects for 2025: A meeting of the Eastern Interregional Office of the Ukrainian Red Cross with international partners and representatives of regional Ukrainian Red Cross branches took place in Dnipro
The Eastern Interregional Office of the Ukrainian Red Cross prioritises addressing humanitarian challenges in the eastern region of Ukraine. Regional and local Ukrainian Red Cross branches, as well as international partners, support the provision of assistance for the most vulnerable individuals.
During the meeting of the Eastern Interregional Office of the Ukrainian Red Cross, the following topics were discussed:
- Achievements of 2024 and plans for 2025 — Ukraine’s development in the eastern region this year, including a presentation of initiatives and programmes already in place to support the affected population.
- The security situation in the Dnipro, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
- Planning the interaction between emergency response teams and local authorities to provide necessary assistance to victims in the event of emergencies.
These important discussions helped to improve understanding of the current state of response in the region and to develop a strategy for Ukrainian Red Cross branches to collaborate with international partners in meeting the needs of the affected population.
