In Novomyrhorod, sessions were held for members of the Ukrainian Red Cross Active Longevity Club
Volunteer consultants from the Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Unit conducted an information session on oncology for older adults. Oncological diseases are one of the most pressing medical issues globally, making prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment crucial. During the session, participants had the opportunity to learn about:
- How cancer develops.
- How to minimise the risk of cancer.
- Lung cancer as the most common type of cancer.
- The importance of early diagnosis in the recovery process.
A practical session on physical activity followed, where participants engaged in outdoor exercises, which are highly beneficial for their physical health. Maintaining good health and leading an active lifestyle are important at any age.
