Odesa: Assistance to Victims of the Attack on the Historic Part of the City

Last night, on 31 January, Russia attacked the historic centre of Odesa. The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Odesa region was at the scene, working alongside the city’s emergency services. Volunteers provided first aid to three victims. Additionally, two elderly women who were suffering from acute stress reactions received psychological first aid.

The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Odesa region provided humanitarian aid to those affected by the missile attack. Over 300 metres of plastic sheeting and tarpaulin were distributed to cover the damaged windows in the homes of more than 45 individuals who requested assistance.

A warming centre was also set up to provide hot tea and coffee, along with the necessary support to all those in need.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, one of the city’s hotels was damaged as a result of the attack. The Odesa Regional Military Administration reported that seven people were injured in the attack on the centre of Odesa.
