Training on Implementing the Safeguarding System in HR Processes
On 23-24 January, Lviv hosted a training on safeguarding, attended by Vice Presidents and Board Members of the Ukrainian Red Cross, heads of regional branches and their deputies, as well as employees responsible for HR functions in the regions.
During the event, participants learned about the key principles of safeguarding, including the prevention of exploitation and abuse, the importance of complying with safeguarding policies and the code of conduct, reporting mechanisms, and risk management in safeguarding. The session also covered the specifics of implementing the safeguarding system in HR processes. Special attention was given to discussing effective leadership in safeguarding, shaping organisational culture, and the importance of data protection.
The training was facilitated by the British Red Cross Safeguarding Delegate, employees from the Risk Management Department, and the Ukrainian Red Cross Protection, Gender, and Inclusion Specialist. Together, they created a professional and interactive atmosphere that encouraged discussion, problem-solving, and the development of practical solutions. As part of the training, participants also completed practical case studies that allowed them to consolidate their knowledge through real-world applications.
The training was held with the support of the British Red Cross.
