Ternopil Region: Helping IDPs Find Jobs in Their New Place of Residence
People who have been forced to move to the Ternopil region due to the war and those from vulnerable groups now have an opportunity for professional development. The Ukrainian Red Cross’s “Reboot: Expanding Employment Opportunities” programme offers a chance to acquire skills and knowledge that will enhance professional prospects and better prepare individuals for employment.
The programme offers an opportunity to learn a new profession or upgrade existing qualifications, as well as to receive a microgrant to start or revive a business. This support helps people earn a stable income and contributes to the country’s economy. In addition, the programme provides access to psychosocial support, which helps individuals build confidence and resilience before they start looking for a job.
The programme team offers full support, from information sessions and guidance from a career counsellor to helping participants become sought-after candidates in the local labour market and increase their chances of securing a good job in their chosen profession.
The programme is implemented in partnership with the Spanish Red Cross.
