Support for a Child Rehabilitation Project in the Kyiv Region

Following the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, a rehabilitation centre for children was established in the Kyiv region within a private school. Initially, training and rehabilitation services were provided for children evacuated from temporarily occupied territories. Over time, the project expanded to include children of deceased military personnel and children affected by the war. The project has three components: safety, education, and psychological rehabilitation, the combination of which helps children feel comfortable and recover more quickly.

The Ukrainian Red Cross values projects aimed at rehabilitating children and, as such, provided assistance to the 7Fields NGO, which runs this institution, in the form of heating briquettes and food aid to help the children continue their recovery and education in warm and comfortable conditions.

“We provided around 40 tonnes of briquettes, equivalent to 40 pallets. This is more than sufficient, even slightly exceeding the request we received from the NGO. We are confident that this assistance will certainly not be excessive,” said Andrii Pozniakevych, Head of the Disaster Management Department at the Ukrainian Red Cross.
