The Ukrainian Red Cross continues to assist with evacuations from the Donetsk region
Recently, the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Donetsk region successfully evacuated four people: a family from Sloviansk and two people from Lyman. The operation was complex and required coordinated communication between several emergency response teams.
- Sloviansk: One crew of volunteers from the Donetsk regional emergency response team of the Ukrainian Red Cross evacuated people from Sloviansk and transported them to Pavlohrad. In the city, the family was met by the Dnipro regional emergency response team and taken to Dnipro.
- Lyman: In cooperation with the “Bilyi Yanhol” (White Angel) unit, another crew from the Donetsk regional emergency response team carried out an evacuation from Lyman. One person was transported to a train in Kramatorsk, while the other was taken to a meeting point along the route where the Kirovohrad regional emergency response team took over for further evacuation to Kropyvnytskyi.
