Chernihiv: Assistance to Those Affected by a Missile Attack

Last night, Russian troops launched a missile attack on a residential area in Chernihiv. As a result, residential buildings were destroyed, one person was killed, and others were injured.

The emergency response team from the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Chernihiv region worked at the scene alongside other city rescue services. The team of volunteers arrived promptly at the site of the attack, where they provided essential support to the victims, including first aid and psychological first aid. They also assisted in evacuating residents from the damaged buildings.

Volunteers from the Chernihiv regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross are currently working at the scene. They are gathering information and identifying the needs of the public while providing humanitarian aid to residents of the damaged buildings in the form of food parcels, flashlights, OSB boards, plastic sheeting, and tarpaulins to cover windows.

A Point of Invincibility has been set up in the city to keep the victims and residents of the damaged buildings warm. Volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross are on duty there to provide first aid and psychological first aid if needed.
